EEC Brings Best Investor Relations Practice To Nigeria

Enam-Edmond Consult (EEC) has launched a new publication, Investor Relations Magazine Nigeria (IRMagazineNG), supported by EchoMyke Technology, to further the development of best practice in Investor Relations (IR) across the country. Echomyke is a technology enhancement firm, with rooted interest in human development training in digital interface.

IRMagazineNG, which is an online publication to be accessed via, is formally launched to leverage IR Practitioners who have been long-standing in the development of IR practice in Nigeria.

Commenting on the publication, Mr. Enam Obiosio, Managing Partner of EEC and Editor-in-Chief of IRMagazineNG, says “Nigeria being the biggest market in Africa, we are delighted to announce the launch of the IR magazine in the Nigerian IR network and beyond. This timely launch of the magazine follows many years of conceptualisation, commitment and dedication to designing the platform for the showcase of the importance and benefits of IR in the country.

We look forward to working closely with Nigerian and international Investor Relations Officers (IROs), and their companies helping Nigeria to attain IR compliant status, and providing ongoing support for the development of global best practices and international standards in IR and corporate governance across the country”.

According to Obiosio: “IRMagazineNG aims to promote global IR best practices throughout Nigeria. The magazine, which will also be published quarterly in hard copy, would help to foster a culture of effective communication between listed companies, exchanges, regulators, private companies, advisers and the buy and sell side communities in Nigeria, and to promote transparency in the market.”

Speaking further, Mr. Obiosio said “The launch of the IRMagazineNG is to fully align with the vision and the plans of the Federal Government to diversify the Nigeria’s economy, open up the Nigerian Securities Exchange to international investors.

Aside from tracking the trajectory in the Nigerian money and capital market, the IRMagazineNG will also act as a knowledge hub where IR professionals can come together to network and learn from international leaders in IR, and will primarily support the advancement of the market in particular and the Nigerian economy in general.

Furthermore, it will help to enhance the local practice in IR by facilitating more effective communication across private and listed companies, and the capital markets to encourage the active participation of more local and international investors.

Speaking on the essence of the magazine, Mr. Emmanuel Okon, Proprietor of EchoMyke Technology, says IROs in Nigeria will from now have access to a wealth of IR knowledge from within the country and also from global leaders in the profession in the form of cutting-edge training programs. He further says: “With this magazine, the IR practitioners in the country will be able to benefit from engaging local events aimed at uniting and advancing the IR community.”
